Morning Routines – We’ve All Got One

So, what's your morning routine like? Here's mine:

Wake up, reach for my phone, and scroll through social media—because of course that’s when I decide to buy random things I definitely don’t need.

I hear my teenage daughter moving around the house, and now comes the daily dilemma: do I get up and risk starting the day with a mother-daughter standoff, or do I stay in bed and wait until Miss Independent heads off to school?

She’s not a bad kid—just a teenager figuring life out while reminding me (frequently) that I know absolutely nothing. I know it’s just a phase, and I try hard to keep our connection strong. One tactic? Avoiding early-morning clashes that set a sour tone for the day.

Now for the best part of waking up: there's always a fresh cup of coffee waiting on my bedside table, courtesy of my amazing husband, who leaves for work before the rest of the house even stirs. Total hero.

If I do get up before my daughter leaves, I’ll walk part of the way with her—just part, though. Let’s not push it... walking the whole way would be far too embarrassing, apparently.

Then it’s home for coffee round two (this time with collagen powder—yes, I’m at that age), print out yesterday’s and overnight orders, and off to work I go.

My commute? A grueling 9 meters.

Honestly? I love my life, and I love my family—even if our mornings are a little chaotic.
